Craftsmanship

For the discerning male, buying a Henry David Clothiers custom suit is a uniquely personal experience. Our relaxing club atmosphere makes gentlemen feel right at home. Join us for a drink. Sit back, get comfortable. We’re here to get to know you, so every fitting begins with a detailed consultation by Kurt and our Master Tailor and Designer, George Moya. Our goal is to better understand you and your expectations from the clothes you’ll be purchasing.

Based on your consultation, we’re ready to talk style. We present you with a choice of jacket and pant styles, along with a wide selection of premium fabrics to begin customizing your signature look. Together, we’ll create your one-of-kind suit, shirt and ties, along with pocket squares or even braces. From suit lining, to buttons and stitching, no detail is overlooked.

We offer two levels of fit customization. For men desiring unique and one-of-a-kind fabrics, combined with the unparalleled quality of a truly handmade suit, we recommend Bespoke Suiting. Through a series of as many as six personal fittings in our store or in your home, Henry David’s Master Tailor will skillfully measure your exact specifications, and custom build a suit to your unique frame over six to eight weeks. Every stich is crafted by hand. Every sleeve, panel, lapel and pocket is cut to drape your body perfectly. There’s no better fit than a Henry David Bespoke suit. Hand-made right here in Chicago, it’s not just a suit, it’s a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Henry David Made to Measure suits offer gentlemen exceptional fit and
masterful tailoring. After selecting your signature style and fabrics, our Master Tailor performs a personalized fitting using more than 25 precise measurements to assure you the highest quality fit. The suit is custom-made to your exact specifications over four to six weeks. You’ll then join our Master Tailor once again for a final fitting, where the fit is refined to drape your body perfectly.

“Fit is in the details. Nothing is overlooked.”
– George Moya, Master Tailor and Designer
